The heist occurred at 6927 Torresdale Ave. at about 1:51 a.m. when an unknown man in a red sweatshirt and knit ski mask entered the store and pulled a black handgun on two clerks. The robber forced one employee to the floor and pointed the gun to the other worker’s chest, demanding that he open the cash register. The crook fled with an undisclosed amount of money in an unknown direction.

Police later found the sweatshirt, hat and gun on the 6900 block of Marsden St.

The robber was described as black with the aforementioned clothing. He also wore jeans. Visit the Philadelphia Police channel on YouTube.com to view the surveillance video. Call 215–686-TIPS or text to PPDTIP to report information. ••
